In a significant reshuffle within the Andhra Pradesh Police Department, Mr. S.V. Madhava Reddy has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Parvathipuram Manyam district, replacing Vikrant Patil. Mr. Patil, who had been serving as the SP of Parvathipuram Manyam, has now been transferred and posted as the new SP of Kakinada, taking over from S. Satish Kumar, who has also been transferred.
The reshuffle comes as part of the ongoing efforts by the Andhra Pradesh government to optimize the leadership of its police departments, ensuring that fresh leadership is brought into key districts for more effective management of law and order. Madhava Reddy, who has previously held various leadership roles, is expected to bring a wealth of experience to his new post in Parvathipuram Manyam. Similarly, Vikrant Patil’s transfer to Kakinada, an important coastal city, signifies the need for dynamic leadership to address urban and security challenges in the region.
S. Satish Kumar’s transfer and Patil’s appointment in Kakinada reflect the Andhra Pradesh government’s ongoing strategy to maintain a flexible and responsive police force. By moving officers with diverse experience across different regions, the government is aiming to improve policing effectiveness and public safety across the state.
