The Hyderabad Police have arrested two individuals and charged the college principal in connection with an alleged voyeurism incident that occurred within the hostel washrooms of a private engineering college in Medchal. Female students at the college accused the kitchen staff of secretly recording them in the washrooms. Following student protests on January 1st and 2nd, police registered a case against seven individuals, including the two arrested individuals, the principal, director, and chairman of the institution. This incident has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about student safety and privacy within the college premises.The alleged voyeurism incident has deeply shaken the student community and has brought to light the critical issue of women’s safety within educational institutions.
