Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has established a strict deadline of December 31, 2027, for the completion of all Yamuna pollution-control projects across the state. While chairing a high-level review of the Yamuna Action Plan, he emphasized a coordinated, time-bound strategy focusing on sewage treatment, industrial waste management, and real-time monitoring.

The state’s comprehensive initiative involves upgrading existing infrastructure, developing new Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), and effectively tapping drains to prevent untreated wastewater from entering the river. Rastogi directed strict regulatory compliance to significantly improve water quality.

Fatehabad Bus Overturns Near Tohana; 3 Killed, 20 Injured

A tragic accident occurred in Fatehabad district, Haryana, where a 52-seater private bus overturned into a field near Tohana. The bus, carrying numerous passengers, veered off the road and flipped, resulting in severe casualties. Tragically, three people, including two women, lost their lives in the incident.

Furthermore, approximately twenty other passengers sustained various injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Local authorities and emergency services immediately launched rescue operations at the site. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
