While chairing a high-level review of the Yamuna Action Plan, he emphasized a coordinated, time-bound strategy focusing on sewage treatment, industrial waste management, and real-time monitoring.

The state’s comprehensive initiative involves upgrading existing infrastructure, developing new Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), and effectively tapping drains to prevent untreated wastewater from entering the river. Rastogi directed strict regulatory compliance to significantly improve water quality.
