Kannur Murder Case: Auto Driver’s Wife Arrested for Allegedly Orchestrating Husband’s Killing Over Affair

In a shocking development, the Pariyaram Police on Wednesday arrested Mini Nambiar (42), the wife of an auto-rickshaw driver, for allegedly masterminding the murder of her husband, KK Radhakrishnan, who was shot dead on March 20 at his under-construction house in Kaithapram village, Kannur district.

According to police sources, Santhosh, the prime accused, carried out the killing after hiding inside the building and ambushing Radhakrishnan. The motive behind the murder is believed to be personal revenge, stemming from Radhakrishnan’s strong opposition to the illicit relationship between his wife Mini and Santhosh.

Investigators revealed that Mini and Santhosh, who were former classmates, rekindled their relationship after meeting at a school reunion. Santhosh later took up a job as a helper at Radhakrishnan’s construction site, where the affair reportedly intensified. Radhakrishnan, aware of the growing closeness, had filed a police complaint after receiving threats from Santhosh.

Police also confirmed that Santhosh had posted threatening messages on Facebook prior to the murder. In a post at 4:23 PM on the day of the crime, he uploaded a photo of himself holding a gun with the caption:

“The task is to hit the target. Certainly, I will.”

Later, at 7:27 PM, he posted again:

“Didn’t I tell you? Didn’t I tell you not to harm my girl? I can bear losing my life, but my girl… I won’t forgive you.”

Sijo Jose, another accused, has been arrested for supplying the weapon used in the murder.

Mini Nambiar, a resident of Mathamangalam, has now been remanded to judicial custody along with Santhosh. The investigation is ongoing, and police are likely to file a detailed charge sheet in the coming days.
