Interarch Building Solutions, a leading name in pre-engineered steel structures, has taken a major step toward expanding its national manufacturing footprint by acquiring 20 acres of industrial land in Andhra Pradesh. The new facility will come up in Attivaram Village, Nellore district, and will serve as a dedicated manufacturing plant for heavy and complex steel structures.

This expansion is a part of Interarch’s long-term vision to meet the growing demand for engineered steel buildings across India, especially in sectors like infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, data centers, airports, and urban transport.

Strategic Expansion for New-Age Infrastructure

The new facility, named “Unit 2,” will be developed right next to Interarch’s existing manufacturing plant in Nellore. With this, the company is effectively doubling its production capacity in the region within a span of just one year. The second unit is expected to be operational by mid-2025.

This expansion comes in response to the rising demand for high-performance steel structures across India’s industrial and infrastructure sectors. The plant will be equipped with advanced technology, including robotic welding lines, automated beam and plate lines, and integrated digital fabrication systems.

Employment Opportunities and Economic Boost

The new plant is set to become a key employment generator in the region. It is estimated that the facility will create:

  • 300 to 400 direct jobs, including technical and skilled positions

  • 1,000+ indirect jobs through logistics, subcontracting, and service support

This move is expected to uplift the local economy, offering new opportunities to small and medium businesses in sectors like steel fabrication, transportation, painting, and on-site erection services. It also aligns with the government’s push to transform Andhra Pradesh into a manufacturing hub.

Sustainable and Smart Manufacturing

Interarch’s new facility is not just about expansion—it’s about smart, sustainable growth. The company plans to implement:

  • Solar rooftop systems to meet up to 30% of the plant’s energy needs

  • Recycled water systems to reduce dependency on fresh water

  • Digital tracking and real-time fabrication monitoring for better efficiency and client transparency

These measures are in line with modern industrial sustainability standards and contribute to a greener manufacturing process.

Andhra Pradesh’s Role in India’s Steel Vision

Andhra Pradesh’s progressive industrial policies and infrastructure readiness have made it an attractive destination for large-scale investments. The state provides:

  • Easy land acquisition and industrial clearances

  • Capital subsidies for mega projects

  • Access to skilled labor and ports for logistics

With this project, Interarch is reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s position as a critical steel fabrication and manufacturing hub in South India.

Interarch’s new 20-acre plant in Nellore represents more than just expansion—it symbolizes the next phase of industrial growth. As India pushes forward with massive infrastructure developments, this facility will serve as a pillar of modern engineering, job creation, and sustainable manufacturing.

This bold move will not only strengthen Interarch’s production capabilities but also bring long-term value to the community, the state, and the Indian economy at large.
