Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries is entering the artificial intelligence space with a new joint venture named Reliance Intelligence. Meta (formerly Facebook) has acquired a 30% stake in this venture, marking a significant partnership in India’s tech landscape.
The companies initially plan to invest ₹855 crore, focusing on AI-powered sales, marketing, and customer services platforms. Meta’s Llama AI models will be integrated into Reliance’s enterprise network, enhancing digital capabilities.
This is Meta’s second major investment in Reliance after its stake in Jio Platforms in 2020. The collaboration is expected to accelerate India’s AI adoption and strengthen Meta’s presence in the country’s digital economy.
