In a significant step toward enhancing healthcare infrastructure for the industrial workforce, a formal request was submitted today to the Hon’ble Union Minister for Labour & Employment, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi.
The proposal advocates for the sanctioning of a 100-bed ESI (Employees’ State Insurance) Hospital to be located in the Vasanthanarasapura Industrial Area of Tumakuru. As one of the largest industrial clusters in the region, Vasanthanarasapura houses a vast number of employees who currently face challenges in accessing timely and specialized medical care.
The Union Minister was apprised of the rapid industrial growth in Tumakuru and the urgent need for a dedicated healthcare facility to serve the ESI beneficiaries in the belt. Shri Mansukh Mandaviya received the representation and assured that the Ministry would look into the feasibility and requirements of the project.
The establishment of this hospital would not only ensure better health outcomes for workers but also boost the ease of doing business by providing essential social security infrastructure within the industrial zone.
