The Rajasthan Police have started conducting live raids and video broadcasts, shifting from traditional, low-profile operations to more transparent, real-time coverage. While some officers view live broadcasts as a means to boost public trust and transparency, others argue that it could jeopardize the success of the operation by compromising tactical secrecy.

The state’s Director General of Police, U R Sahoo, has voiced his concerns about the trend, disapproving of what he refers to as “dramatics.” He emphasized that police operations must be carried out with discretion and without exaggeration or unnecessary public exposure. The debate highlights the challenges of balancing transparency with operational security, as law enforcement agencies strive to ensure both efficiency and public confidence.
