The fraudulent activities impacted nearly 1,911 students who were deprived of their rightful access to educational tools.
The fraudsters had devised a sophisticated system where they manipulated the fund distribution process, rerouting significant amounts of money that were allocated to provide tablets to deserving students. Investigations revealed that these individuals had falsely documented the distribution process, creating a false paper trail to cover their tracks.
