In response to the rising threat of cybercrimes, Rajasthan Police launched ‘Operation Cyber Shield’ on January 3, 2025. This month-long initiative is designed to tackle various cybercrimes, including online fraud, identity theft, and hacking.
The operation’s key objectives include resolving cybercrime complaints, identifying crime hotspots, blocking suspicious SIM cards, and educating the public on how to protect themselves from digital threats.
Rajasthan, like many other states, has seen a surge in cybercrime incidents, particularly involving financial frauds and online scams targeting vulnerable individuals. Operation Cyber Shield focuses on strengthening the state’s cybersecurity infrastructure by increasing vigilance in areas with high rates of digital crimes.
Additionally, the operation aims to foster a sense of responsibility among the public by providing resources and workshops to raise awareness about common online threats. With the operation, Rajasthan Police hope to empower citizens to protect themselves from the dangers of the digital age while maintaining a strong stance against perpetrators of cybercrimes.
