The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is set to develop residential and commercial hubs along the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat train corridor, further enhancing urban connectivity and economic growth. To facilitate this, the corporation has invited bids for potential development projects.
In line with global best practices, NCRTC has been actively exploring non-fare revenue sources to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project. By adopting successful models from both domestic and international transit systems, the corporation aims to generate additional income while improving urban infrastructure and accessibility.
The development of these hubs is expected to boost real estate, commercial activity, and transit-oriented growth along the corridor, making it a key driver for regional economic development.
