Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been stranded on the International Space Station for nearly nine months, are finally set to return to Earth. Their return journey is being arranged by Elon Musk’s company, SpaceX. Williams, 59, and Wilmore initially embarked on an eight-day mission to the ISS aboard Boeing’s Starliner in June 2024. However, due to technical issues such as helium leaks and thruster malfunctions, the Starliner was deemed unsafe for their return, leading to their extended stay in space.
