Adilabad: Police arrested four individuals for illegally smuggling PDS rice in Utnoor mandal on Wednesday night. A total of 20 quintals of rice, valued at ₹40,000, was seized from them.
According to Utnoor ASP Kajal Singh, the accused—Nallanna Krishnaiah, Thakur Arun Singh, Thakur Dhara Singh, and Gyan Singh—were caught while transporting the grains based on a tip-off. They were handed over to Utnoor police for further investigation.
