Andhra Pradesh to Establish Quantum Valley in Amaravati, Announces CM Chandrababu Naidu

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled Andhra Pradesh’s ambitious plans to establish a Quantum Valley in Amaravati, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. This initiative aims to position the state at the forefront of cutting-edge technological advancements.

Speaking at the All India Research Scholars Summit (AIRSS) 2025 at IIT Madras on Friday, Naidu emphasized the transformative power of emerging technologies. He recalled his visionary efforts in developing Hyderabad’s Hitech City in 1995, which played a crucial role in making the city a global IT hub. Now, he envisions similar success for Andhra Pradesh by fostering innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Technology.

The Chief Minister urged students and researchers to focus on practical AI applications that can drive real-world impact. He stressed the need for India to lead in next-generation technologies and encouraged scholars to develop use cases that address societal challenges.

Naidu also highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strategic collaborations with IIT Madras, IBM, TCS, and the Government of India to accelerate progress in Deep Technology. These partnerships are expected to enhance research, attract global investments, and create new opportunities for innovation and economic growth.

With the proposed Quantum Valley, Andhra Pradesh aims to become a hub for quantum computing, AI, and other futuristic technologies, reinforcing its commitment to technological excellence and digital transformation.
