Mumbai, Apr 1 (PTI) – President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday praised the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) remarkable journey over the past 90 years, emphasizing the need for a financial ecosystem that is innovative, adaptive, and accessible to all to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the RBI’s 90th-anniversary celebrations, President Murmu highlighted the institution’s crucial role in shaping India’s financial landscape. She noted that the RBI’s evolution has been closely aligned with government policies, forming a strong partnership that has helped steer the country through economic transitions, implement key financial reforms, and maintain macroeconomic stability.
“As India nears the centenary of its independence, the mission of Viksit Bharat 2047 demands a financial system that is forward-thinking, flexible, and inclusive,” she stated.
The President’s address underscored the significance of a resilient and inclusive financial framework in driving India’s growth and achieving long-term economic goals.
