The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has predicted scattered thundershowers and light rainfall across various parts of the state on Thursday.
According to officials, regions including Alluri Sitarama Raju, Prakasam, and Rayalaseema are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms. Authorities have issued a cautionary advisory due to the risks associated with lightning.
APSDMA Managing Director R. Kurmanadh urged farmers and laborers to stay alert and avoid open areas, trees, and poles, as lightning poses a serious threat during thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, high temperatures continue to persist in several parts of the state. Madugula in Anakapalli district recorded the highest temperature at 39.4°C, followed by Duvvuru in YSR Kadapa district at 38.9°C. Other regions, including Kothapalli in Nandyal district, Kondapalli in NTR district, and Amaravati in Palnadu district, also reported temperatures exceeding 38°C.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather alerts issued by authorities.
