🌡️ Delhi Records Season’s Highest Temperature at 39°C

New Delhi – The national capital experienced its hottest day of the season on Thursday, with the temperature soaring to 39°C, which is five degrees above the normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The previous highest temperature for this year was 38.9°C, recorded on March 26.

The minimum temperature was relatively cooler at 15.6°C, about three notches below the average. Humidity levels during the day ranged between 41% and 22%, IMD added.


🌤️ Wednesday’s Weather Recap

On Wednesday, Delhi recorded a minimum of 14.2°C, which was 4.6°C below normal, while the maximum temperature stood at 36.4°C, 2.4 degrees higher than usual. The humidity fluctuated sharply between 78% and 16% throughout the day.


🔮 Weather Forecast for Friday

The IMD has forecast strong surface winds for Friday, with the maximum temperature expected to hover around 38°C and the minimum likely to be around 16°C.


🌫️ Air Quality Update

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 217 on Thursday at 4 PM, placing it in the ‘poor’ category, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). However, the Air Quality Early Warning System predicts a gradual improvement, expecting AQI levels to shift to the ‘moderate’ category over the next couple of days.
