Delhi Capitals’ captain Rishabh Pant and young pacer Digvesh Singh Rathi have been penalised for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the high-octane clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians in the 2025 season.
Pant has been fined ₹12 lakh for a Level 1 offence, as per the IPL’s official disciplinary regulations. While the exact nature of the breach hasn’t been disclosed, it is understood to relate to over-rate or on-field conduct during the intense encounter.
Meanwhile, Digvesh Singh Rathi has once again found himself in trouble, receiving a penalty of 50% of his match fees. This is not the first time the young cricketer has faced disciplinary action, indicating a pattern that may warrant further attention from team management and league authorities.
The IPL governing body confirmed that both players accepted the sanctions imposed by the match referee, and no formal hearing was required.
