Sify Technologies Unveils ₹1,882 Crore AI-Ready Data Centre Campus Near Chennai

Chennai, Tamil Nadu — In a major boost to India’s digital infrastructure, Sify Technologies has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art data centre campus at SIPCOT Industrial Park in Siruseri, near Chennai. The investment for this high-capacity project stands at ₹1,882 crore.

Designed to meet the growing demands of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, the 130 MW AI-ready campus marks a significant step in India’s journey towards becoming a global digital hub. The facility will support next-generation workloads and serve hyperscalers, enterprises, and digital-native businesses.

The new data centre is expected to generate direct employment opportunities for around 1,000 individuals, providing a much-needed boost to the local economy. In addition to direct jobs, the project is likely to create numerous indirect employment avenues in allied services such as facility management, logistics, and security.
