Sikkim, June 2025 – In response to intense monsoon-triggered floods and landslides, the Indian Air Force (IAF) swiftly mobilized rescue efforts across the state. Four Mi-17 and two Cheetah helicopters have been deployed to evacuate stranded residents and transport essential relief materials to inaccessible areas.
The operation highlights the IAF’s crucial role in disaster response, providing timely support to civilian authorities during this natural calamity.
