Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan Appointed New Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court

Ranchi, July 17 – Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, senior judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
The official notification was issued by the Union Law Ministry on July 14, following the approval of the President of India. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for July 23 at Raj Bhavan, Ranchi, where Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan will administer the oath of office.
Justice Chauhan succeeds acting Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, who had been serving since the retirement of former Chief Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra.
Known for his balanced judgments and commitment to judicial transparency, Justice Chauhan’s appointment is expected to bring renewed energy to the judicial system of Jharkhand. Legal experts have welcomed the move, expressing hope for faster disposal of pending cases and improved judicial functioning in the state.
