Gangtok, June 18, 2025 – In a historic move to preserve its rich legacy, the Government of Sikkim launched Time Capsule 2025 on the occasion of its 50th Statehood Day. The stainless-steel capsule includes heartfelt messages from state leaders, writings by schoolchildren, cultural artefacts, seeds of endangered plants, and documentation of key developmental achievements.
Set to be opened in 2075, this initiative symbolizes Sikkim’s pride in its heritage and aspirations for a sustainable, inclusive future.
