The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a loan of around USD 179 million to support infrastructure upgrades and urban development in Sikkim.
This funding aims to modernize essential facilities, improve urban living standards, and strengthen sustainable growth in the state. The project will focus on better roads, drainage, water supply, and public amenities, contributing to a cleaner, more resilient, and well-planned Sikkim.
The loan marks a major step toward transforming the state into a model of modern urban development in Northeast India.
