Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL) has unveiled plans to invest ₹15,000 crore to establish a greenfield shipyard in Tamil Nadu
In partnership with South Korea’s HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering.
The project, expected to create around 10,000 jobs in its first phase, aims to position Tamil Nadu as a global hub for shipbuilding and offshore engineering.
This initiative highlights India’s push to strengthen its maritime capabilities and attract international collaboration in the sector.
