Tamil Nadu’s Transport and Electricity Minister, S S Sivasankar, has unveiled plans to establish a South Asian Renewable Energy Corridor.
The initiative aims to add 10,000 MW of solar and 2,000 MW of wind energy capacity over the next five years, ensuring round-the-clock clean power.
The project envisions regional collaboration with partners like Sri Lanka, promoting sustainable energy integration,
reducing carbon emissions, and strengthening energy security across South Asia.
