Over the past three days, Haryana mandis have received a staggering 92 lakh tonnes of paddy, reflecting the ongoing harvest and procurement drive.
In Ambala, agencies purchased 9,200 tonnes out of the 25,000-tonne supply, while in Yamunanagar, 3,500 tonnes were procured from the 15,000-tonne arrival.
This large-scale procurement underscores the state’s efforts to support farmers, ensure timely payments, and maintain buffer stock for food security.
Farmers are advised to stay updated on mandi schedules for smooth sales.
