Opposition Seeks CBI Probe in Assam |

The Leader of the Opposition in Assam, Debabrata Saikia, has formally appealed to President Droupadi Murmu, urging her to direct a CBI-led investigation into a major case.

Concerns over jurisdictional constraints and allegations of conspiracy and foul play,
the Opposition stressed that the case requires the expertise and reach of a central agency to gather international evidence and ensure the complete truth is revealed,  guaranteeing judicial and public confidence in the investigation.
