The Sikkim government has announced that the historic battlefield sites of Doka-La and Cho-La will be open to domestic tourists starting October 1. Visitors must obtain permits through registered tour operators and provide proof of a one-night homestay booking in designated areas along the Silk Route.
A fee of ₹1,120 per person covers wildlife sanctuary entry and associated costs.
The initiative aims to promote battlefield tourism, boost local economy, and offer travelers a unique experience steeped in history and natural beauty.
