Chandigarh witnessed two separate violent incidents near popular clubs in Sectors 9 and 26 on December 28, 2024, which left three individuals injured.
In Sector 9, a 21-year-old man attacked another person with a knife during a dispute, causing serious injuries that led to the victim being hospitalized. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a personal argument between the two individuals. Police were alerted to the scene and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident, two individuals were assaulted with sharp weapons near a nightclub in Sector 26. The attackers targeted the victims as they were exiting the club, causing injuries. The police were notified immediately, and the victims received medical attention on-site before being transported to the hospital.
Both cases have been registered by the Chandigarh Police, who are investigating the incidents. Authorities are analyzing surveillance footage from nearby areas and conducting interviews to identify the assailants.
