In a bold move to combat the rising drug menace in the state, Telangana’s government has established the Telangana Narcotics Bureau (T-NAB). The bureau is tasked with curbing the growing drug trafficking operations and handling drug-related crime across Telangana.
T-NAB will coordinate with other law enforcement agencies, both within the state and at the national level, to share intelligence and pursue high-profile cases of drug smuggling and distribution.
The primary objectives of T-NAB include focusing on effective surveillance, rapid intelligence gathering, and executing operations to arrest drug traffickers.
The bureau will also prioritize the rehabilitation of individuals affected by substance abuse and foster stronger public awareness campaigns to reduce drug consumption. This move marks a significant step in the state’s ongoing battle against drugs.
