A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on Wednesday, according to SP Premsukh Delu, as quoted by PTI. The incident involved two pilots, with one managing to eject safely, while the search for the second pilot is currently underway.
Following the crash, a massive cloud of smoke engulfed the area, and burning debris from the aircraft was seen scattered across the ground. A video of the aftermath surfaced online, showing the extent of the wreckage.
“There were two pilots in the Jaguar trainer aircraft. One has been rescued and taken to the hospital, while operations are ongoing to locate the second pilot,” quoted SP Premsukh Delu as saying.
Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash.
