Hyderabad – In a heartfelt appeal to the people of Telangana, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has urged citizens to come together in defense of the rich green cover surrounding the University of Hyderabad (UoH) in Kancha Gachibowli.

In an open letter released on Sunday, KTR emphasized that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) stands firmly committed to preserving the natural forest area in and around the university. He reassured the public that no developmental activities will be allowed that could harm the ecological balance or the integrity of the university campus.

“The green lungs of our city are not just spaces of nature, but symbols of our commitment to sustainability and responsible urban growth,” KTR wrote. He urged students, environmentalists, and residents to stay vigilant and united in safeguarding Hyderabad’s natural heritage.

The letter comes amidst rising concerns from environmental groups and students over proposed developments near the campus that could threaten the ecosystem.

KTR concluded with a powerful message: “Let us rise above politics when it comes to protecting nature. This is about our future, our city, and our collective responsibility.
