A three-judge Bench of the Supreme Court of India is scheduled to hear ten petitions challenging the Wakf (Amendment) Act, 2025 on April 16.
The Bench will be presided over by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, and will also include Justice PV Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Viswanathan.
The lead petition in this matter has been filed by Asaduddin Owaisi, Member of Parliament from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
The case is currently listed as item number 13 on the court’s cause list for the day.
