Hyderabad: Tensions flared in Hyderabad as hundreds of Telangana Group-I aspirants staged a protest, demanding a re-examination of the Mains paper. The protestors, many of whom had written the exam in Telugu medium, alleged that serious discrepancies and injustices marred the evaluation process.
Gathering at key locations in the city, the aspirants raised slogans and carried placards, urging the state government and Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to take immediate corrective action. They claimed that Telugu medium candidates were unfairly treated, with biased evaluation and unclear guidelines affecting their scores.
Several protestors shared personal accounts of how the current system had jeopardized their years of hard work and aspirations. They argued that the exam lacked transparency and failed to maintain uniform standards across different mediums.
“We studied with dedication and followed every rule. But the way the papers were evaluated was totally unfair to Telugu medium students. We demand justice and a fresh, fair examination,” said one of the protesting candidates.
The protestors have called upon Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and TSPSC officials to intervene and announce a re-exam, ensuring equal opportunity for all candidates regardless of the medium of instruction.
As the movement gains momentum, officials have yet to issue an official statement. However, pressure is mounting on the authorities to address the concerns and restore faith in the recruitment process.
