Jaunpur, July 2025 — In a major ecological revival effort, the 61 km-long Pili Nadi in Jaunpur has been rejuvenated under Uttar Pradesh’s ‘One District, One River’ initiative. Community participation played a central role, with over 11,000 saplings already planted and a target of 51,000 by August. The restored 25 km cultural stretch now benefits local irrigation and biodiversity.
