Jharkhand

Jharkhand Police is the law enforcement agency responsible for maintaining law and order in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It was formed in the year 2000 after the state of Jharkhand was carved out of the state of Bihar.

The Jharkhand Police is headed by the Director General of Police (DGP) and is divided into several branches, including the Crime Branch, Traffic Police, Special Branch, and Armed Police.
