Kerala
The Kerala Police is the law enforcement agency of the Indian state of Kerala. It was formed in 1956 after the merger of Travancore-Cochin Police with the Malabar Police and the Madras Police.
The Kerala Police is headed by a Director General of Police (DGP) and is divided into districts, each headed by a superintendent of police. The force is responsible for maintaining public order, preventing and detecting crime, and enforcing the law.
The Kerala Police has also contributed significantly to the country’s security forces, with many of its officers serving in various central agencies such as the CBI, RAW, and NIA.
