The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) has notified new Green Energy Open Access Regulations 2025 to promote seamless integration of renewable power. These rules ensure non-discriminatory access to intra-state transmission and distribution systems for solar, wind, hybrid, and other green energy sources.
The move is expected to encourage industries, businesses, and consumers to adopt clean power, driving Tamil Nadu’s leadership in renewable energy and strengthening India’s clean energy transition.
