Amidst a fresh wave of violence, Catholic lay organizations in the Archdiocese of Imphal issued a stirring joint statement today.
Describing the state as being in a “time of deep emotional wounds,” the All Manipur Catholic Union and associated wings urged all communities to reject violence and embrace dialogue.
The appeal follows recent targeted attacks on religious leaders and civilians. Simultaneously, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited displaced persons in Imphal West, assuring families of a safe return to their homes as the state struggles toward reconciliation.
