The recent Union Cabinet decision to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 14 Kharif crops has been met with massive celebrations across Chhattisgarh’s rural belts today.

With Sunflower seeds seeing a jump of ₹622 and Cotton by ₹557, local farmers in Dhamtari and Mahasamund are preparing for a record-breaking sowing season.

State officials noted that this federal boost, combined with the state’s Krishak Unnati Yojana, will significantly enhance the disposable income of over 20 lakh farming families this year.
