The Maharashtra Government has greenlit a massive 550-km access-controlled expressway network across the Vidarbha region.
The project, estimated at $₹51,906$ crore, includes four major corridors: Nagpur-Gondia, Bhandara-Gadchiroli, Nagpur-Chandrapur, and a specialized mineral corridor to Surjagad.
These expressways are designed to link eastern Maharashtra’s industrial and mining hubs to the Samruddhi Mahamarg, slashing travel times and boosting regional trade.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed that the iconic Pandharpur Palkhi Marg is now 80% complete, promising safer journeys for upcoming pilgrimages.
