Five more cheetahs flown in from Botswana have officially been released into the free-ranging forests of Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park (KNP).

Outfitted with advanced radio collars, the group includes three females released early last week and two more on Friday. This strategic move successfully increases the total count of free-roaming cheetahs in KNP’s wild to 15.

Wildlife officials confirmed that three remaining Botswana cheetahs are still acclimatizing in protected enclosures and are slated for release soon.
