An investigation has revealed that road dust is the city’s most neglected year-round pollutant.
While public debates focus heavily on winter stubble burning, the capital continues to suffer from massive summer dust accumulation.
Delhi currently operates only a fraction of the mechanical road-sweeping machines it actually needs, and cleaning remains strictly restricted to VVIP routes. Ironically, sweeping operations scale down during the peak summer months when dust levels are highest, leaving most residential areas completely untouched.
