In a massive boost to West Bengal’s rural economy, over 45.35 lakh farmers across the state have received direct bank transfers totaling more than ₹907.21 crore under the 23rd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme.
Coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public event in Tarakeswar, Hooghly, local blocks and Gram Panchayats celebrated the release as “PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas.” This widespread initiative not only ensured immediate financial relief but also focused heavily on driving financial literacy, empowering rural communities and women farmers with essential economic awareness.
