CM Revanth Reddy Seeks JICA Support for Key Infrastructure Projects in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held discussions with senior officials from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Thursday, aiming to secure financial assistance for several major infrastructure initiatives across the state.

During the meeting with Shohei Hara, Senior Vice President of JICA, and other top executives, the Chief Minister presented proposals for funding key projects including Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase II, River Musi rejuvenation, radial roads connecting the Outer Ring Road (ORR), and the upcoming Regional Ring Road (RRR).

Revanth Reddy informed the delegation that the Metro Rail Phase II, with an estimated investment of ₹24,269 crore, is currently being evaluated as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Telangana, and is under active consideration by the Centre.

The discussions emphasized Telangana’s commitment to enhancing urban mobility and sustainable infrastructure, while strengthening international collaborations to drive long-term development.
