Ludhiana officially became the first city in North India to transition its entire public transit core to hydrogen fuel cells today. The state government, in partnership with global green-tech firms, flagged off 50 zero-emission buses. This move is projected to slash the city’s carbon footprint by 40% by 2028.
CM Mann emphasized that this “Green Corridor” is just the beginning, with Amritsar and Jalandhar next in line. Residents are cheering the quieter, cleaner commute, marking a historic shift in Punjab’s industrial heartland.
