Following the successful fortification of critical riverbanks and flood infrastructure, Punjab’s state administration has shifted into high-alert mode as the monsoon season approaches. A primary focus of the updated disaster management strategy is the massive desilting operation of seasonal drains, including the crucial Sakki Nallah.
To ensure rapid and efficient water flow, the state has procured advanced, specialized amphibious cleaning machines directly from Finland. These high-tech units, recently deployed as seen in official inspection photographs, are now actively clearing choked waterways, reinforcing Punjab’s proactive commitment to preventing urban and agricultural flooding this year.
