A major demographic milestone began today as the official census process rolled out across Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Chief Principal Census Officer Amit Sharma announced the successful launch of the modern digital “self-enumeration” phase. This portal allows citizens to securely log online and independently submit their household details over the next fortnight.
Following this, ground enumerators will conduct intensive three-day physical verifications starting June 1st to cross-check data, rectify discrepancies, and freeze the final records.
