Joint security forces launched coordinated anti-insurgency operations across Manipur over the weekend, resulting in the arrest of five active militants.
In Imphal, personnel apprehended two cadres of the Manipur Revolutionary Army (MRA). Meanwhile, operations in Churachandpur district led to the capture of two United Kuki National Army (UKNA) members and another local insurgent.
Authorities seized an extensive cache of high-grade weaponry, including an AK-47 rifle, an INSAS rifle, multiple magazines, over 60 live ammunition rounds, hand grenades, and tactical bulletproof vests. Investigations into their networks are underway.
